Vanishing Point Dodge Challenger Painting by FastLaneIllustration Vanishing Point Dodge Challenger Painting by FastLaneIllustration
1970 Dodge Challenger Car Chase In The American Desert. This painting alltogether is based off of car chase scenes from the 1971 movie 'Vanishing Point'. this was another experimental piece. This time i was experimenting with certain dust effects.

Man, I've been checking your art for a good while now and you have, by far, the most bad-ass automotive artwork i've seen EVER! Your art should be displayed in a museum or an art exhibit. Oh yeah, almost forgot: "It takes a mopar to catch a mopar".

Nice picture, really.  I may not be as gaga as some people over this film, but it certainly has some good stuff in it.... even is one of the inspirations for one of my stories.

One of the few chase movies that I purchased on DVD. I'm going to pull it out over spring break and watch it in the middle of the night on the big 55-inch TV, I reckon.

GO KAWALSKI, GO!

if it weren't for some over dramatized bits in the 1997 movie, it would've been great (trying to get the original on dvd now ^^)

Did you ever notice at the end that the Challenger never hit the bulldozers?

It was a white 67 Camaro!

I never caught it till my friend pointed it out to me, but the last time I had watched it before that was on a 27 inch tube TV, with the LCD's now I seem to notice a lot more!

Now I look and can't believe how obvious it is! LOL

actually i based the stance of the challenger off of an image similar to the cover of DPL. I love that game, and thought the cover was great, so i looked for images similar too it, and found this: [link] I made a few alterations such as the hood, color, license plate, etc, but it's mostly based off this.

Who...?...What...?...Huh...? URRGH *dies from awesomeness*
You read my mind...! I absolutely love the '71 body style, and something like this depicts the good old days. When you used to take the pony out to the Mojave and cruise the sand dunes and never-ending two lane highways. Thank you for making this absolutely delightful painting, how much do you want for the original?
