Description

The Life Story Of A 1970 Chevy Chevelle (Part 1 of 40) November 5th, 1969, GM Assembly Plant of Flint Michigan: Workers are hurrying to manufacture brand new 1970 Chevrolet Chevelles, a car that will soon become an American automotive Icon. A car that'll be worth a fortune in just a few decades, but at this point, its just the latest and greatest car in GM's upcoming 1970 lineup. A souped up performance version of the modest Chevrolet Malibu. Many of these cars will unfortunately end up in the dump, however, a few will survive. The Cranberry Red Chevy Chevelle seen in this painting is one of these survivors, although its life will not be an easy one like the cars that end up tucked away in a barn for decades, this one will be both enjoyed and abused by multiple owners in the next 40+ years of its life. I will Illustrate this cars life year by year. Each painting will represent a year of this cars life spanning from 1970 to 2010, and you'll be able to observe and compare through my illustrations the gradual changes that it undergoes throughout the decades from its owners, and also from the inevitability of aging. This painting is square one... fresh from factory, ready to be delivered to a lucky Chevrolet dealership somewhere, where it'll be claimed by its very first owner. Stay tuned, and join me as I paint the life story of this 1970 Chevy Chevelle with this series of paintings. They will be posted promptly as I complete them. THIS NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE!!!!!  PLEASE!!!!   LOL  I was honestly riveted and couldn't wait to see what happened next.  I've owned a lot of cars over the years, and they all have their own unique stories.  If cars could only talk....  the people, the places....  my goodness what a story it would be.  Thank you for sharing and God Bless!!!
