Christmas Driving (1955 Chevy Nomad Painting)

Here's my latest painting just in time for the Christmas season. It's a 1955 Chevy Nomad driving through the Appalachian region of New Hampshire at Christmas time with a freshly cut family Christmas tree on the roof. Theres nothing quite like driving on back roads when theres a beautiful fresh layer of hoar frost coating the branches... especially when it's done with a car like the Nomad. To me, Christmas and the 1950s go together like milk and cookies. So why not include one of the most iconic cars of the 50s with one of Christmas's Uniquest time periods in an environment that compliments the two beautifully? The combination of all 3 factors resulted in this painting. The snow laden covered bridge in the background was the icing on the cake for me. Anyway, Merry Christmas from Fast Lane Design.
